This year, the Club Lafayette welcomes pianist Circé Santander to the Château de Chavaniac-Lafayette.

A South American musician, Circé Chávez-Santander is a piano teacher in Lyon. She trained in Brazil, Bolivia, and at the National Music School of Chambéry.
Blessed with natural charisma, she shares her joy in playing music by working across a wide range of musical styles, from chamber music to contemporary music. She has performed in France and South America. 

Circé Santander will present a varied repertoire, reviving the compositions that were played in honor of Lafayette during his visit in 1824-1825 as a guest of the American nation: traditional folk tunes, civic music by James Hewitt, country dances, marches, quicksteps, waltzes, as well as more classical tunes by A. Gretry, etc.

Readings will evoke various moments of this fabulous journey, echoing the exhibition currently on display at the Château de Chavaniac-Lafayette, retracing this fabulous voyage.
