Ceremonial Welcome at the Landing, Georgia Queen Paddleboat Dinner Cruise

  • 21 Mar 2025
  • 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Savannah, Georgia - City Hall Landing

In a grand entrance reminiscent of his 1825 arrival, General Lafayette will step ashore to a stirring ceremonial welcome at the City Hall Landing. Savannah’s esteemed dignitaries will extend official greetings and present a proclamation in his honor. The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Color Guard and militia will proudly present colors, and a dramatic musket volley will be fired to mark this historic occasion. If conditions allow, a special flyover by the Georgia State Patrol may add a stirring tribute to the occasion. There is no cost to be a part of this commemorative ceremony!

At 6:00 PM, guests will begin boarding the elegant Georgia Queen paddleboat for a majestic dinner cruise which leaves port at 7:00 PM cruising along the scenic Savannah River ($100 per person). Step back in time as you dine in the company of Lafayette and other Revolutionary War-era reenactors. Immerse yourself in an evening of engaging conversation while savoring a lavish buffet. Indulge in a feast fit for royalty, with signature Savannah Shrimp and Grits, a mouthwatering Beef Carving Station, Fresh Catch of the Day, zesty Lemon & Artichoke Chicken, seasonal fresh vegetables, crisp garden greens with dressings and toppings, and much more—a culinary experience as rich and unforgettable as Lafayette’s legacy.
