Lafayette was the first foreign dignitary to address a joint session of Congress on December 10, 1824, in Washington DC.  

Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives will be commemorating the bicentennial of this important event on December 10th, 2024 at 3pm at the US Capitol in Washington, DC. He is cordially inviting 100 members of the American Friends of Lafayette to attend this FREE event.

This email serves as your ability to register for this FREE event.

Since we expect significant interest in this event...

• Only AFL members will be allowed to register and attend.

• This will be a "first come first served" registration.  The first 100 registrants will be allowed to attend.

• After the first 100, we will start a "wait list".

• If you have a family membership with the AFL, then all family members are welcome to register.

• If you have an individual membership and your spouse or other family members are NOT AFL members, then we will NOT be able to accommodate them at this event (unless they become members, or you upgrade your membership).
