On October 14, 1824, as part of his Farewell Tour of the United States, General Lafayette paid a visit to Martha and Thomas Peter at Tudor Place. The visit was a much-awaited reunion between Lafayette and Martha Peter, a granddaughter of Martha Washington.

Please join us 200 years (and one day later) on October 15th, 2024, at 6pm

as we celebrate one of Washington D.C's most historic events.
