We are thrilled to invite you to the Lafayette Birthday Party, celebrating the bicentennial of the Marquis de Lafayette's 67th birthday banquet given by The Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Connecticut in 1824. A key figure in both the French and American revolutions, Lafayette was recruited by famed American emissary Silas Deane to assist the American Continental Army. Tours of the Joseph Webb House and Silas Deane House - both National Historic Landmarks and key sites in the American Revolution - will immerse party guests in political history and intrigue, followed by festive food, period music by Rick Spenser and Dawn Indermuehle, and merriment. Lafayette himself will even make an appearance!
