In 2015, the AFL was instrumental in persuading the Virginia State Assembly to pass Joint Resolution No. 797, establishing an annual “Day of Honor” for Lafayette on March 14.   This year the AFL will participate in this annual celebration again at the Richmond, Virginia statehouse on Tuesday, March 14th, 2017.

The observance again will feature a formal wreath-laying ceremony inside the Virginia State Capitol Rotunda.  We will also have a special and private tour of this historic statehouse.  We've arranged for a guest speaker to address our group as well.  Like in years past we will arrange a luncheon for after the festivities.  More details to come.
