Lafayette Returns to Richmond

Join us as we Welcome Lafayette to Richmond on October 27th from 2:00-4:00 pm at Rocketts Landing in Richmond...200 years after his second visit there...and 243 years after his first time to this very site!

Enjoy a fall afternoon on the banks of the James River with a spectacular view of the Richmond skyline upriver.

You’ll revel at his Rock Star experiences on the 1824 Tour of the United States as a ‘Guest of the Nation’.

Equally exciting are General Lafayette's memories of 1781 in command of the Continental Army skirmishing in Richmond and throughout central Virginia with Cornwallis and the British Army during the spring and summer prior to Yorktown.

What a story, weaving together Lafayette’s military, financial, political, and cultural contributions to our country’s Independence. Photo ops abound.
