French Breakfast at Lafayette Inn
8:00am - 9:30am
Lafayette Inn, 146 Main St, Stanardsville, VA
Lafayette did not visit Stanardsville in 1824, as it was not even a town yet. So what is the connection here? Lafayette Inn was built in the 1840’s when Greene County (yes, after General Nathaniel Greene) was formed from Orange County and Stanardsville was made the county seat. Well, join us for a plated breakfast and listen to Jackie Pamenter’s short presentation to hear more! Jackie is a Greene County historian and fan of Lafayette too. Breakfast will feature Lafayette French Toast - the best french toast ever and scrambled eggs or both. Served with Breakfast bread, bacon or sausage, a small mixed fruit cup and beverage of coffee or tea. Ala carte items like breakfast cocktails (Bloody Mary’s, Mimosa’s) are also available for additional price. The Lafayette Inn’s location is going to be about 30 minutes from the hotels but well worth the early morning drive. Promptly at 9:30am we will need to leave to allow time for the 30 minute drive to Montpelier, as Lafayette will be arriving shortly to Montpelier after 10:00am.
Price: $25
