At the former home of Medford’s Governor John Brooks, now the Members Plus Federal Credit Union 29 High St, Medford, MA

General Lafayette, as re-enacted by Mark Schneider, will visit the location of Governor John Brooks’ home as he did 200 years ago. Lafayette will be greeted by Governor Brooks! On hand will be three Lafayette descendants!

Peter Maguire, formerly of Reading, where John Brooks practiced medicine, will
present a talk titled “The Young Doctor Goes off to War.” A retired school
administrator, Peter holds a master’s degree in history from UConn. In
retirement, Peter was an educational volunteer for the Peabody Essex Museum
in Salem and served as a tour guide at the Massachusetts State House.

Refreshments will be served. Don’t miss this once-in-a-generation event!
