2:15 pm – Lafayette arrives in a horse-drawn carriage. Ceremony on lawn outside Lawrence Memorial Hall, 2 Jabish St, Belchertown, rain location inside. Lafayette greets Dr. Estes Howe, accepts flowers from little Suzy Shaw, and dances with Mrs. Shaw. He listens to proclamations from local politicians and the town’s Select Board. Greets locals. Refreshments.
3:00 pm – Lafayette bids adieu to the crowd.
